Sushi with vegetables can be kept for up to 3 days. Sushi rice is stored in the refrigerator for a maximum of 3-4 hours. Over time, the sushi loses its taste and quality.

To do this, wrap the sushi tightly in cling film. Then you put it in an airtight container and put it in the refrigerator. The storage temperature should be around 5ÂșC.

There must be no excess water on the rolls when winding. This could encourage bacterial growth.

If you don't have a suitable material, you can of course also use the plastic box in which the sushi is sold.

How can I tell if the sushi is still good?

Before you eat sushi from yesterday or older, you should put it through a  test  . This is especially important if you don't know under what circumstances the sushi was made. This is especially true for sushi from the supermarket.

An  odor test  is always a good start.

If the sushi   smells fishy , you should definitely throw it away.

Then an optical test is recommended  .

If the  appearance of  the sushi has changed significantly, it's better to throw it away as well. Pay particular attention to the  color of the fish.
